Accel Finance offers loans for both undergraduate and graduate students. The information on the page below applies to both undergraduate and graduate applicants.

Accel Finance encourages prospective customers to apply for a federal student loan before applying for a Accel Finance loan or other private student loan, as federal loans are often less expensive and offer the widest variety of repayment options. All loans are subject to credit approval. Interest rates and loan fees vary and are based upon borrower and/or cosigner (where applicable) credit score and other underwriting criteria. Applying for a Federal Student Loan

1. Complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Copies of the FAFSA can be obtained from your guidance counselor, Financial Aid Office, or downloaded from the Internet.

2. The FAFSA should be completed as early as possible the year you will need financial aid (ie. January if you will be attending college in the fall).

3. The schools you choose on the FAFSA should automatically receive your information and send you an award letter, normally in May or June, offering you a Financial Aid Package. If the school has packaged a student loan for you, you will first need to make the decision whether to accept the loan.

4. After selecting a lender for your student loan, follow the instructions in your award letter. Each school has somewhat different procedures for the delivery of your loan.
